Our story
In 2023 our founders lost a full week hunting for one decision. It was sitting in somebody’s DMs.
Dev Malhotra and Nora Castillo were running product and platform at a 400-person fintech. The answer to one simple question, why did we sunset the old pricing, was spread across a Slack thread, two docs and a call nobody recorded.
They didn’t want another wiki. They wanted software that already knew, could prove where it learned it, and could take the next step for you. Taleso began as a weekend prototype that cited its sources. Five design partners later, it became a company.
Today Taleso remembers for 2,400 teams, from ten-person studios to banks with 40,000 employees. It still refuses to answer without a source.

Mission
Give every team a memory that never forgets and never overreaches.
Useful enough to change how work gets done. Careful enough that security teams sign off in a week, not a quarter.
Values
Four rules we don’t bend.
01
Cite everything
If Taleso can’t show where an answer came from, it doesn’t give the answer.
02
People decide
Agents propose and humans approve. Autonomy is earned, one workflow at a time.
03
Calm by default
No pings for the sake of pings. The best tool is the one you forget is there.
04
Earn trust daily
Security reviews, honest status pages and contracts written in plain English.
